Artists Communicate

The message I was trying to represent in my painting was the poverty problems. In 2014, Brazil hosted the World Cup. Brazil needed to build new stadiums, so families were forced out of their homes to allow the new stadiums to be built. The affected families were relocated into huts without running water.. The effect of these events put many of Brazil's population into poverty.

Reading this story inspired me to create this piece of artwork. I was familiar with painting, but it did not turn out the way I excepted. I feel that if I had more experience with paint, my final product would have turned out better.

In conclusion, this piece of artwork has helped me realize that there are millions of people living in poverty.
